Very scary experience. All seemed normal until early hours in the morning when I was awoken by laughter. I got up and turned on my light, which I regret as once the lights were on it revealed to me around 100 small Abraham Lincolns, around 1 meter tall. They were dotted across my room laughing and jumping. I darted our the door and I never went back in that room again. 100% recommend going here though!
I was an overnight guest due to work commitments and because of this didn't check in until early hours of the morning. The receptionist was very prompt and professional at getting me checked in. The location is good for central Derby being a short drive away, also sitting opposite the Derby County football ground. The only downside is there is never enough plug sockets to charge devices, unless you take a multi socket extension lead with you. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Derby.
I stayed here for 3 nights with family 2 adults and 2 children in a family room. We had a very pleasant stay here the staff were friendly and we could get extra tea and coffee for our room when we wanted. Location is excellent there are restaurants in walking distance as well as derby stadium. Parking is available for 3 for 24hrs. The only downside was the family room was a bit on the small size. I have stayed in Travelodge lodges before in family rooms which have been alot bigger. In this room we had a double bed and two singles all the beds were facing the TV apart from one also the sockets were all on the side of the TV and none next to the bed.
Very good location, plenty of restaurants etc to choose from. Good, friendly customer service. Only downside- late menu has cheese on everything - nothing available if you can't eat it! Would recommend hotel otherwise
What a wonderful stay we had. From the moment we arrived. Teresa looked after us. From ordering taxis to helping one of our group get the lights on. Lovely little bar area as well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only reason didn't give it 5 stars was there was no eggs at breakfast due to a supplier issue.
