One of my favourite places to visit. Magical surroundings and always makes an impression on whoever I take there. Worth visiting throughout the seasons as the changes are spectacular.
One of my favourite spots for a local walk and a photo shoot. Not sure amount the 40 fee to photographers that want to take professional photos of clients in the grounds. What a cheek! But they will let you park near the castle in the private car park. Knocked a star off for that. Imagine passing that fee onto your clients. "Sorry, your photo shoot was 40, but as they want 40 As well, now it's 80!" No thanks! I wonder if other photographers are aware of this. Be warned.
Lovely park, really nice walks around all the gardens. So beautiful. Nice cafe, lovely in the summer eating ice cream in the gardens while the children all run around.
A good day out. For the price of a car park ticket (3 for 4 hours when we were there) you can have a good few hours walking and die-stressing. It's good for children too with play areas and plenty of places to run and play. There is a good cafe and several public toilets too.
Nice place for a two hour gentle walk. The gardens have been looked after. A part of the building is currently being renovated and a large part of it is in disrepair.Walking around the lake is very peaceful and calming.Food in the cafe is very tasty, especially the cakes. The staff are very pleasant.
