Love, Love, Love the quad. Great coffee shop. Love the exhibitions they have, especially Format festival. Nice cinema. My wife sometime goes to the parent and baby showing on a Thursday for under 3s I think it is. Keep up the good work.
I love the Quad and it's one of my favourite places in Derby: whether I am popping in to the cafe for coffee, going to see a movie, or calling in after work for a relaxed bite to eat, I love the atmosphere and seeing what's coming on screen this week. I like the fact that they show more unusual films, and subtitled films in other languages, as well as more mainstream ones. I've still not visited the gallery but hear they have some excellent exhibitions.
Comfy seats all with good view of screen. Lift available for those with mobility problems. Plenty of staff around to give assistance. Quite a high step with a lip above be careful when steppi g up or down to get from the ramp to the seats. Nice little shop. Cafe attached but grumpy staff there to ages to bring our coffee.
First time there. Impressed with standard of food in the cafe, would certainly eat there again. Enjoyed the cinema experience, enhanced by very good surround sound. Although we didn't take advantage it was good to see they take a civilised attitude to taking alcohol inside! Very enjoyable and looking forward to going again.
Quad is a great place to see films, photo forums, exhibitions and information. I myself, tend to frequent the photo forums which give great insight into the works of artists that you otherwise wouldn't really get to know about or just learning how to get to where i want to be in the future. The staff are really helpful and welcome. I highly recommend it to anyone
