Awful school do nothing about racism and care more about their Ofsted rating and presentation than they do the children.
My children go to Allestree woodlands and they are really happy there. The behaviour policy is outstanding because what I know and seen on how they tackle behaviour issues is amazing. Nothing gets brushed under the carpet.
So underrated, I'm not a clever student but my results surprised me... C's and a few B's. My time at Woodlands was amazing, but now your forcing students to learn a language for GCSE errr no way. How does that help them in the future?? And don't say when they go to Spain. That's the only shocking change and problem. I did creative media BTEC and now doing it a college. I am going to have a film carer now thanks to woodlands. But now they don't do creative media??? That's crazy because technology is fastly growing.
Wonderful school. My child has enjoy the school so much she has joined the 6th form. The school in my opinion is one of the best in derby.
Well basically, first off, the rules are pretty stupid. For example the new skirts. I don't want people looking directly at my hips thank you very much! In my opinion, I think things have gone way too far. I mean banning fidget spinners was just pretty stupid as many people took them into school anyway. Let me also add that having to ask permission to take off our blazers even when it is hot is stupid. The headmaster has to issue a "special e-mail" to permit people to walk around school without them on. I would also like to add that when you have finally got your lunch from the refectory, you are not allowed to eat outside. There is simply not enough room! The refectory gets pretty cramped, not to mention. I literally have to sneak my food out, and if you get caught eating anywhere else other than the refectory or an art room you get shouted at! Even the art rooms are packed! Also there is a massive issue with bullying. A boy in my class knuckle-punched me 15 times, in the same place as hard as he could and now I have a massive bruise. I admit I hit him with my bendy ruler in the face, but that was self defence. Then he punched me right in the nose! A teacher even watched him do it but did they do anything? Not as far as I know. I think this school is feeling a little bit like a prison nowadays, and the headmaster has gotten a bit power-hungry.
