Booked in for 2 days from the 30/09/17 for living room,hall,stairs and landing for walls ceiling and skirting. Told he would be here for 8.30-9am...no show at 10am. I rang Stuart and left a vmail and got no reply. I got all the ropms emptied,blinds out of all the Windows dog went to the in-laws. This company is an absolute waste of my time and ruined my weekend. If he could of communicated to say he wouldn't be able to make it then fine. Even if you said you would do it for free Stuart I'd tell you where to stick it!!!!!!!!
Stuart and his guys came into our house and I have to say that they are amazing. Very, very professional. What they have done is totally transformed our house in no time at all. Both me and my wife cannot thank you enough. I would highly recommend Stuart everyday of the week and I will do to all of my own clients.Fabulous service. Thank you.

He has years of experience behind him, he and his team are very polite and professional . . . very clean and tidy, turn up on time and use quality products.Just seen the negative review and having used Arkwrights twice this is not how they work. Every aspect of their work has always been spot on, they did the inside and outside of my studio, I expected a high standard and that's what I got. No fuss, no mess, great job.
I recently moved to a 200 year old cottage which is full of beams and all the walls are a bit wonky. Stuart and his team at Arkwrights did a great job of papering my dining room and painting all of the beams. They were very punctual, polite and professional. Absolutely delighted with the work. A few years ago I had Stuart paint the outside of my caf and they did a great job then as well, the paintwork was in a bad way and they sanded it al down and even rebuilt some of the woodwork. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Didn't have a great experience with Stuart and his team. The work was ok, not great, some was pretty poor. For example, can see joins in paper, had to spend a day cleaning paint from sockets that they had got paint on despite fact I'd unscrewed them from wall for them to work around (and had already cleaned them up), woodwork wasn't sanded down or even rubbed down, they just painted over what was there and there are fibres in paint, painted over flakes of old paint and chip marks, even old tacks in wood painted over that should have been removed - we had to redo some woodwork that I just could not live with, finally the pvc windowsills are full of marks from where they cut the paper (windows were new in last year). Worse part, though, was I had a massive disagreement with him over something I thought was pretty trivial, certainly not his work which I was too frightened to pull him up on after our first disagreement. I think we were close to falling out a second time too. I thought his attitude was so bad I decided to get another decorator to finish the job. I don't think I'm alone either in having an argument with Stuart, I've since heard other people comment the same. Wouldn't use again and would recommend others avoid. There are some great decorators out there, he isn't one of them!
