Great campsite, excellent large pitches on all kept flat field, half with electric hookups. Well equipped, clean toilet block with quality modern showers. Great welcome from Tom (the owner) who helped get us up and running with the superb pizza oven. Be sure to give it a go for a special family supper on the sunny patio with large tables and benches. We will return!
Fantastic camp site. Been to many camp site but this tops it. Great camp site run by good management. Make sure you take the fresh pizzas for the pizza oven(papa Tom's)
What a fabulous site! Spacious flat pitches, easy to access with our camper trailer, electric hook up, immaculately clean loos and washing facilities with excellent ( free) showers. Plenty of hot water and a sink for washing up and a communal seating area/ bbq/ pizza oven. The owner, Tom, was lovely and very relaxed and welcoming. We chatted with some of the other campers and all agreed it was a great find. We walked to the Bubble Inn which is just by the marina, and had an excellent lunch before going for a walk along the canal in the sunshine. A very pleasant setting and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be going back and I am recommending this site to all my camping friends. 5 star.
We stayed the other weekend and had a lovely time the owner Tom was fantastic.The facilities had the be the cleanest I have ever seen and no paying for a hot shower.If you like walking and have a dog there is a lovely 2 mile walk from the site to Mercia marina along the tow path with great food when you get there.We will be back....
Tom, the owner, is totally laid back and extremely helpful.We stayed for one night (Friday to Saturday). It was the first time I had taken my boys (3 & 9yrs) camping. Great, clean facilities. Tidy site.Male, female & disabled toilet & shower blocks.There is a kitchen sink in the disabled shower block.Electric hook up available.Caravans, Camper Vans and tents appear to be welcomed.We had a good experience.We went to Trent Adventure (10 mins drive) for a Canoe trip on Saturday. This campsite was ideal for our needs. Thank you.
